Traffic Information Centers
Traffic information for rbb88.8
rbb88.8 has deep roots in the city and the region. Traffic updates are a regular part of the program: the more current and detailed, the better. On weekdays the producers give updates live several times per hour from Berlin’s Traffic Information Center. The VMZ prepares the content: the current traffic situation in the city, information on construction, blockages, and events, public transport info, and the newest tweets about the current traffic situation.

Traffic Situation Map for Cities
People on the move in cities need continuous access to current traffic information. For this purpose, many cities run traffic sensors along their major roads. VMZ fills gaps in the detected road network with floating car data from different providers and combines all data to provide accurate traffic situation and travel times. The result: A public traffic situation map showing conditions across the road network in real-time.

Construction Site Information System
Where is there construction? Where are road closures? For the BIBER Project, the VMZ developed a Client-Server solution for Berlin and Brandenburg to answer these questions. The fire brigade, police, media, and others who need or provide this information have access, as do citizens.

Analysis Module for Yutraffic Concert
Yutraffic Concert is a Yunex software which allows traffic control centers to visualize and influence their traffic spaces. The VMZ is developing a new module which calculates and visualizes in real-time causal relationships between public transport delays, traffic volumes, construction sites, road closures and other factors.

Authentication Platform E-Mobility
In Berlin E-Mobility should be easy and accessible for everyone. VMZ Berlin develops and manages the authentication platform for charging infrastructure on behalf of Berlin city government. The system permits e-mobility users to access all public Berlin charging stations with a single, cross-provider sign-in procedure.
