Shuttles&Co – V2X for Cities

Autonomous driving in Berlin is the subject of the BMVI-funded project Shuttle&Co. Here VMZ takes an urban perspective and our task is to do research on how autonomous vehicles and urban traffic management can interact and optimize each other.

Mobility Concept for Marzahn-Hellersdorf

The VMZ Berlin develops an integrated traffic concept for the district Marzahn-Hellersdorf. On the basis of a comprehensive analysis, deficits and potentials of the transport systems are to be identified. With regard to the structural development of the district, possible courses of action for the future design of the mobility of residents and commuters will be developed.

Strategies for E-Mobility

Electromobility is a critical building block in the transportation revolution. VMZ helps you estimate the opportunities: Where is there concrete potential for your municipality, your city, or your region? What is the current status of charging infrastructure and where is there a need for expanding it? How can we make better use of existing infrastructure? Which locations are suitable for increasing capacities?

Administration and Hosting

Mobility services process huge amounts of data around the clock. The VMZ manages and hosts such highly-available systems of all sizes based on tailored Service-Level-Agreements. Redundant hardware, virtualization technologies, and our system administrators’ expertise and experience secure the high availability your service requires.

Software Development

The VMZ develops individual IT solutions and specific software, for example for control centers. As an independent service provider we choose the best approach and technology for each project. The advantage for our clients: Your solution is tailored and consistent from concept to implementation.

Mobility Display Frankfurt Airport

Frankfurt Airport is well-connected: there are many ways to continue travel after landing. Sixteen mobility displays developed and managed by the VMZ for Fraport AG show all ground connections: long-distance and regional trains, long-distance and city buses, carsharing and bikesharing services and even current travel times on surrounding highways.

Mobility Display Tegel Airport

Travelers arriving at Berlin’s Tegel Airport can quickly orient themselves on the ground thanks to 18 mobility displays helping them find their way. At baggage claims, bus bays, and rental car centers the monitors show maps of current traffic conditions, public transport departures, and a ticker with transportation disruptions. VMZ administers the displays on behalf of FFB Berlin Brandenburg Airports.
